AN INTRODUCTION TO ARCHIVAL PRACTICE

October 7,14,21,28 and November 4, 2022

Are you new to the world of archives? These 5 three-hour Zoom sessions are intended to introduce participants to basic archival skills and concepts, using exercises and discussions to explore the archival profession. Sessions will run from 1 -4 pm.

Session 1 Introduction to archival principles

Session 2 Appraisal, selection and accessioning

Session 3 Arrangement and description

Session 4 Access and reference

Session 5 Preservation

REGISTRATION FEE: $25 per course or 5 sessions for $100.   Fees include ANLA membership (2023-2024) and a pdf copy of the ANLA Resource Binder for Small Archives.

Registration deadline is October 4, 2022.
