Founded in 1905, the Newfoundland & Labrador Historical Society is the “oldest non-profit, independent heritage organization in the province.” Its mandate is to “promote knowledge and public discussion of the history and heritage of Newfoundland and Labrador, which it does through free public lectures, publications, public symposia, heritage awards, and advocacy work.”

As part of the Confederation 75 celebrations, the NLHS hosted and recorded a variety of lectures and presentations about the people and places that had an impact on the Confederation decision. The links are below.
