Darrell King

Darrell was employed from with the Iron Ore Company of Canada in Labrador City for 39 years, working in a number of roles within the engineering department at mechanical drafting, paper and electronic data archiving and retrieval, and mentoring and training new hires in the use of the company’s filing systems. Darell has been a member of the Red Indian Lake Heritage Society (RILHS) since its inception, and joined its board when he retired to Millertown. He is also a town councillor in Town of Millertown and assists the Town Clerk and council in resolving documentation issues. Darrell has always been a keen student of Newfoundland (and Labrador) history and his involvement with ANLA is an extension of this interest.
