Darrell King

Director-at-Large

I was employed from July 1979 until February 2018 with the Iron Ore Company of Canada in Labrador City. I served in numerous staff positions within the engineering department fulfilling the duties related to mechanical drafting, paper & electronic data archiving and retrieval, and mentoring & training new hires in the use of the company’s filing systems.
I have been a member of the Red Indian Lake Heritage Society (RILHS) since its inception and when I retired to Millertown, I accepted a position on its board.
I have been a councillor with the Town of Millertown for the previous five years and in that role, I assist the Clerk & council in resolving documentation issues.
I have always been a keen student of Newfoundland (and Labrador) history and my involvement with the ANLA is an extension of this interest.
